There are many obstacles that rural healthcare face each and every day. The following initiatives are areas that I am passionate about educating our state and national legislative members about the roadblocks these measures impose. Key Initiatives: Federal & State
- Access to Capital, Rural Health calls for a new, bipartisan, Hill-Burton Act to repair crumbling infrastructure. Rural lives depend on it.
- End Medicare Sequestration of Critical Access Funding
- Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, how they refuse to pay hurt patients. MA is a plan that fails the patient.
- Long Term Care included on Medicare Cost Report
- Strengthen bipartisan support of Hospital facility fees
- Prioritize rural healthcare to support VA patients
- Colorado Trauma level designation is outdated it hurts patients and Hospitals.
