Dr. Lawrence G. Davis

General Surgeon

Lawrence Davis, MD, holds board certification in General Surgery. He earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine and fulfilled his residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, CA. His clinical interests encompass trauma, acute care/emergency surgery, outreach surgical care, and providing consulting services to nearby community hospitals.

Dr. Erik Bowman

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Erik Bowman, an orthopedic surgeon, has specialized fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction. He earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and finished his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Skilled in hip and knee surgery, Dr. Bowman resorts to surgical intervention only when all other conservative, non-operative methods have not relieved his patients. His dedication to delivering the utmost care involves devising customized care plans for his patients, aimed at restoring their active lifestyles.

Dr. Brian Davis

Sports Medicine & Shoulder, Knee, & Elbow Surgeon

Dr. Brian Davis, a Colorado native, is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine as well as shoulder and elbow surgery. He possesses extensive expertise in managing various conditions of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. His proficiency includes the latest surgical techniques such as arthroscopy, shoulder replacements, revisions of shoulder and elbow surgeries, as well as ligament and cartilage repairs, and he specializes in treating sports-related injuries like ACL reconstructions.

Dr. John Drury, an alumnus of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, finished his residency and internship at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. He is specialized in cardiovascular disease treatment.

Oncology

Dr. Michael Stone, an oncologist based in Greeley, Colorado, is associated with several hospitals in the region. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine and has been practicing for over two decades.

Dr. James Yakel

Podiatry - MMH Surgeon

James Yakel, D.P.M., received his undergraduate degree from Kearney State College and went on to graduate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1994. He fulfilled his residency in podiatric surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. With 18 years of practice, Dr. Yakel is a board-certified podiatric surgeon. His professional passion lies in sports medicine, and he is the team podiatrist for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.

Wound Care

Our wound clinic specializes in treating complicated wounds that require a specialized assessment and plan of care. Our wound care team will examine and measure your wound, evaluate blood flow to the area, factor in comorbidities, and create a customized treatment plan to begin the healing process in your wound. Scheduling is available Monday through Friday if needed, but many patients require treatments only 2 or 3 times weekly. Wound Care Clinic

Cindy Wilber, LPN

Cindy Wilber has been an LPN for over 30 years. She started out as a NA and then became a CNA. Cindy is currently working on being re-certified for wound care. She was also an EMT for MMH for some years. She looks forward to working as a Patient Care Coordinator in the Specialty Clinic and in Wound Care. "As a team, we have so much to offer our community and the surrounding communities."

Jessica Skomp, FNP

Family Practice

Jessica Skomp is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in the FNP program in May 2015 and joined MMH in June 2015. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2011 from the University of Northern Colorado and her ADN from NJC in 2008. Jessica worked as a registered nurse from 2008-2015 in Imperial, Nebraska in another RHC facility. She has two little boys and has been married since 2006. They own and operate a commercial black Angus ranch and love ranching and working/training horses. “I am honored to be a part of this organization and grateful to serve such a wonderful community.”

Julie Levy, RD

Dietician

Julie Levy, M.Ed., RD, LMNT, BC-ADM has been a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist since 2013. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Northern Colorado and has her Master of Education in Exercise Physiology from Wichita State University. Julie is also a board-certified – Advanced Diabetes Management educator through the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Melissa Memorial Hospital has individual instruction for Diabetes Self-Management Education to guide patients through seven self-care behaviors from our Registered Dietitian/Diabetes Educator who has been living with diabetes since childhood and from American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) as eating healthier with consistent carbohydrate consumption, being physically active, monitoring blood glucose measurements, taking medication (oral or insulin/injections) as prescribed, solving problems in unusual situations, reducing the risk of complications, and coping with stress and emotional issues. Insurance coverage benefits are available to clients who are being seen by a healthcare provider for the treatment of a specific medical condition.
