MMHF Fundraising Projects

Endoscopy Equipment for the MMH OR Department

In 2021, MMHF was successful with your help and through the 2021 legacy event to purchase a new cardiac monitoring system. In 2022, the foundation is raising funds for new endoscopy equipment for the MMH OR Department. The foundation is excited to be helping MMH with purchasing the newest endoscopy equipment at a cost of $200K. It will include a new video monitor, light equipment, and a video processor and scopes. This is for both upper and lower scopes that are performed regularly at MMH. An upper endoscopy is a procedure used to visually examine your upper digestive system with a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube.

Melissa Memorial Hospital

The Melissa Memorial Hospital family delivers compassionate care nurturing trust with those we serve.

The MMH Foundation has served Melissa Memorial Hospital and the community for 27 years!
(1995 - 2022)

We are proud of 2 of our recent projects that have helped bring new services to MMH. 3D Mammography is available in the MMH Radiology Department and the Londa Wernet Bradford Cancer Center which has been serving those who need chemotherapy while battling cancer. Please call (970) 854-2241 for a tour of our beautiful health facility and to find out the many services that are available at MMH.

Why A Healthcare Foundation?

In early 1994, the Board of Trustees of the East Phillips County Hospital District endorsed the creation of a separate Foundation for the hospital as part of their long-range planning. They believed a group of people dedicated to the philanthropic opportunities available would enhance quality equipment, availability of staff, and capital campaigns to continue through the legacy of generous donors such as yourself. The non-profit charitable tax-exempt 501c(3) status was granted in March 1995. The Foundation is governed by a Board of 7-9 directors with leadership from an Executive Director.

Holyoke’s residents need and deserve quality healthcare close to home. People respond better to medical treatment when they are near their natural home environment and close to their loved ones. In addition, a modern healthcare facility close to home can make a difference between life and death. The Foundation was started as the fundraising arm of the Melissa Memorial Hospital to assist generous philanthropic donors who believe in this mission.
The services provided by Melissa Memorial Hospital include acute care, emergency, diagnostic including 3D mammography, surgical, swing bed, and outpatient care as well as chemotherapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac rehab, and The Family Practice Clinic of Holyoke and the Specialty Clinic. The staff of MMH strives to provide quality care to all the patients they serve.

Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation is proud to be a vital instrument to MMH and to our community. We hope you see the benefit of the Foundation and will become a part of the “Growing a Legacy” too. The “Pride and Progress” of our community is about coming together to make our assets such as MMH even better!
