Liz Siemsen has been chosen as our Employee of the Month for the month for June! Congratulations, Liz, you have been a great addition to the team you have worked hard to achieve improvement in the revenue cycle and everywhere else in the hospital.
Elizabeth has impacted the business office as well as our leaders/teams across the organization. She has taught us processes and tools for improvement, facilitated multiple improvement projects engaging the front line teams in the process including supply/inventory management, lab/rad inbox processes, revenue processes, and A-3 roll out. She supported the organization in aligning overall strategy with visual management tools, connecting the front line work with the broader strategy. She has supported many leaders in creating tools to improve their department processes. She has also created a consistent, effective process for the billing, coding, HIM, finance departments daily huddles focused on metrics and outcomes while also engaging the departments across the functions. She is creating an onboarding tool for the business office staff to strengthen the effectiveness of bringing on new employees in those departments. She consistently demonstrates a positive, supportive attitude and manages to stay neutral in may heated discussions, focusing on the process. She demonstrates curiosity without judgement. This has resulted in increased team engagement in their work. She is an asset to the business office as well the organization overall!
