At MMH, we strive to provide a seamless and welcoming experience for our patients. Whether you are visiting for a clinic appointment, surgery, radiology, lab work, or other testing, our skilled team is here to assist you every step of the way.
Admissions Process:
When you arrive, our Admissions team will greet you and ensure all your information is accurately recorded. This information will populate your patient portal and assist with billing details.
Here’s what to expect during the admissions process:
1. Initial Check-in:
– Check in at the main admissions desk where our staff will verify your information, including your name, date of birth, and insurance details.
– You will receive a patient ID wristband for identification throughout your stay.
– Family members or visitors may also need to check in and obtain identification badges.
2. Admission Process:
– Nurses: A nurse will assess your medical history, current health status, and any safety concerns.
– Paperwork: You will be required to complete forms, including consent forms and updates to your medical history.
– Tests: Basic tests, such as temperature and blood pressure checks, may be performed.
– Your patient ID wristband will be crucial for accurate identification during your stay.
3. During Your Stay:
– You’ll receive a welcome packet containing vital information about your stay, amenities, and important contacts.
– If you’re undergoing surgery, you will have the opportunity to meet your surgeon or anesthesiologist.
– Staff will routinely verify your information to ensure your safety.
– You may designate a “care partner” to facilitate communication between your family and the care team.
4. Discharge:
– Upon discharge, you’ll be given instructions that include follow-up appointments and medication information.
– Expect a follow-up phone call a few days post-discharge to check on your recovery.
