We are Medicare-Medicaid certified and our clinic staff is highly dedicated to providing you and your family with the highest quality healthcare services. Dr. JD Bailey II, MD

Dr. Bailey is a retired United States Air Force officer with over 30 years of experience. He is a Board-Certified Family Medicine practitioner with more than 24 years of experience. He finds fulfillment in all aspects of Family Medicine and has a keen interest in pre-hospital and occupational medicine. He recently moved to Holyoke from Crestview, FL, where he ran a private practice and served as Medical Director for a major county EMS service and a local EMS training program. Dr. Bailey and his wife Penny are thrilled to be part of the Holyoke community and are enjoying becoming involved in local activities.

Dr. Craig McCarty, MD, PhD Chief of Staff

Dr. McCarty has dedicated six years to practicing medicine in Phillips County, offering comprehensive family care to patients across all age groups. Raised on the Front Range, he obtained his bachelor's degree in mathematics and molecular biology at the University of Colorado. He further achieved a master's in wildlife biology and a doctorate in epidemiology from Colorado State University. His medical journey led him to St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 2004. Outside of his medical practice, he takes pleasure in hunting, fishing, and antique restoration. With his roots in rural Colorado, Dr. McCarty takes great satisfaction in attending to the healthcare needs of rural communities.

Jessica Bullard, FNP

Jessica Bullard, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the AANP, completed her Master's in Nursing in 2020 and commenced her role at MMH in November 2022. Originating from Otis, Colorado, she obtained her LPN in 2009 and her RN in 2013, both from Morgan Community College. Her journey in nursing began at age 15 as an "assisted aid" in a Yuma nursing home, which inspired her career. In 2015, a medical condition challenged her due to the physical demands of nursing, propelling her to become an FNP. With strong ties to Haxtun, where she relocated in 2006 with her spouse, three children, and three dogs. Their summers are filled with boating, fishing, and camping. In her professional life, she is excited to contribute to Melissa Memorial, practicing a wide range of medicine, and looks forward to building trusting health partnerships in the community.

Derek Doorn, FNP-DPN

Derek Doorn, a Family Nurse Practitioner, has devoted over two decades to healthcare and became part of the MMH family in May 2018. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University in 1995 and his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Northern Colorado in 2017. Derek's nursing career spans hospitals, long-term care, and palliative care/hospice. Outside of work, he cherishes time with his family on their farm and enjoys reading, golfing, and playing guitar. Raised in southeast South Dakota, he always aimed to serve a rural community. His role at Melissa Memorial and within the Holyoke community fulfills this lifelong goal. Derek's proficiency includes family care, DOT examinations, Coumadin management, and trigger point injection administration.

Jessica Skomp, FNP

Jessica Skomp holds board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the AANP. After completing her FNP program at the University of Northern Colorado in May 2015, she began her tenure with MMH the following month. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree earned in 2011 from the University of Northern Colorado and an ADN from NJC in 2008. Jessica's nursing career spanned from 2008 to 2015 in Imperial, Nebraska, at another RHC facility. A mother of two boys, she has been married since 2006. Alongside her family, Jessica owns and operates a commercial Black Angus ranch, where they share a passion for ranching and horse training. She feels privileged to be part of this organization and is thankful for the opportunity to contribute to such a remarkable community.

Your medical records are confidential and, as such, will not be shared or released without your written consent. Much of your information is available when using your app. However, if you need your medical record for any reason, simply let a member of our team know and we will guide you through the process. Consent forms are required to release any health-related information.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions and refill requests can be sent to our convenient, on-site pharmacy or any pharmacy of your choosing. If you have questions about your refills, please contact the clinic during office hours. Please allow 72 hours for off-site refills. Please note that the on-call and weekend doctor cannot refill your prescriptions.

*final appt is at 4:30pm

We appreciate it your help and ask that you:

  1. Please inform our receptionist of the reason for your visit so that enough time can be scheduled.
  2. If you cannot keep your appointment, please call and cancel in advance.
  3. Other patients may be able to use an open time slot, your letting us know of changes is appreciated.
  4. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
