Dr. Rebecca Moore
Rebecca Moore is a hospitalist, a physician who specializes in the care of patients in the hospital, with a strong focus on adult care. She completed both her undergraduate studies and her medical degree at the University of Colorado in Denver. She completed her internal medicine internship at the University of Iowa and her residency at UCLA. Dr. Moore joined the MMH Family in March of 2018.
Dr. Daniela de Vargas Boyer, D.O.
Daniela de Vargas Boyer is a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She is a physician that uses a unique whole-person approach, with treatment and care to help prevent illness and injury. She received her doctorate from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2014 and completed a Family Medicine 3-year residency in Searcy, AR. During her residency, she received the honor of being Chief Resident and also received an award for scholarly activity in 2017. She graduated with honors from CSU-Pueblo with a Bachelor’s with an emphasis in pre-med, science, and chemistry. She has received several accommodations and awards for her leadership, volunteer work, research, and dedication to science. Her services include working in the family medicine clinic, inpatient hospital services, Emergency Room, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, Women’s services, and attending to our nursing home residents. In her spare time, she likes to travel to see her eldest son play college baseball in Arkansas and her youngest son’s new artistic adventures in Kansas. She enjoys making music with her mother and camping with her husband of 23 years. Dr. Boyer is proficient in Spanish and joined the MMH Family in July 2018.
Jessica Skomp, FNP
Jessica Skomp is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado from the FNP program in May 2015 and joined MMH June of 2015. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2011 from the University of Northern Colorado, and her ADN from NJC in 2008. Jessica worked as a registered nurse from 2008-2015 in Imperial, Nebraska in another RHC facility. She has two little boys and has been married since 2006. They own and operate a commercial black Angus ranch and love ranching and working/training horses. “I am honored to be a part of this organization and grateful to serve such a wonderful community.”
Lane Looka, FNP
Lane Looka is board certified as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is a 2009 graduate of Regis University, with an MSN degree in nursing.
Prior to his career as a nurse, he worked as a paramedic since 1990. He later finished his associate degree in nursing with honors from Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma in 1998. He later achieved his bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2006 from the University of Phoenix with honors, in Lone Tree, Colorado.
Lane’s primary area of specialty is emergency medicine. He has also worked in the capacity as a family practice provider, hospice and palliative provider, and inpatient hospitalist provider. His experience is well rounded with roles in both busy urban emergency departments and hospitals as well as rural critical access facilities. He holds additional training and education in critical care and trauma.
Lane enjoys spending time with his family, and he also enjoys woodworking and spending time outdoors in his off time. Lane joined the MMH family in Sept of 2015.
Derek Doorn, FNP
Derek Doorn is a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). He received his Bachelor’s in Nursing at South Dakota State University in 1995 and his Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Northern Colorado in 2017. As a Registered Nurse (RN), he has worked in hospitals, long term care, and palliative care/hospice. Derek enjoys spending time with his family on their small farm, taking walks, reading, and playing guitar. “Growing up in southeast South Dakota, it has been my goal to practice and serves in a rural setting. I am excited to be a part of the Melissa Memorial family, and the Holyoke community.” Derek joined the MMH family in May 2018.
